About Blas 
 
Now in it’s 9th year, Blas na hEireann, The Irish Food Awards is the biggest competition for quality Irish produce on the island of Ireland. Over 2,500 products have been entered into the 2016 competition to win Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards in over 100 food and drink categories as well as key awards such as Supreme Champion and Best Artisan Producer.

Winners of the awards will be announced in Dingle on Saturday 1st of October. 

 
Not one, not two but three Newmarket Kitchen members have been nominated for a Blas award. This is some much deserved recognition for their hard work and long hours put in to produce and market such fantastic products. Here are the three producers from Newmarket Kitchen who will be attending Blas this coming Saturday in Dingle, Co. Kerry (In no particular order)

3. Dan & Monstro (Mari Donelan) 

If you haven’t tried any of the girls products I would seriously recommend doing so because they are all absolutely delicious in their own right! 
 
Our Tip 
 
Some Nutritiously Delicious natural Muesli with Greek yogurt and berries for breakfast, Dan & Monstro’s tomato sauce with spaghetti and Parmesan for lunch and as a little treat, one of Goodness Gracious’ Chocolate Salted Caramel Mousse Cakes with a cuppa tea for dessert.
